Hi everyone! Happy Spring 🙂

Sorry for having no blog posts at all, hopefully I’m out of this writing block for good. This warm weather has been amazing, and I’m so happy I finally get to wear cute summer dresses now. I was out shopping and found the perfect dress that I just had to buy. Here’s a look at the dress and my complete outfit 🙂

Cara Delevingne for Karl Lagerfeld – Chanel Haute Couture

Earlier this week Cara Delevinge walked for Chanel Haute Couture for the Spring/Summer 2014 show in Paris. For this collection Karl combined elegant with comfort. He to0k the elegant stylish garments and combined them with comfortable trainers(sneakers), for a more practical look. Cara not only opened the show but she also had the honors of closing the show with Karl Lagerfeld himself, and Karl’s godson. She closed the show wearing a silver metallic sheer bridal gown, feather headpiece, and white & silver trainers . This collection was all about glistening whites, metallic textures, feminine frills and a delicious palette of pastel hues. As Karl said, this collection is “a new, modern attitude to couture”.

My Favorite Winter Looks!

As much as I love fall fashion, winter is my favorite. During fall you’re stuck between the cold weather and warm weather, which might make it difficult. In the winter it’s purely just cold, simple as that. There are endless ways to create great winter outfits. You can layer, and layer, and layer! Simply by adding a scarf, vest, jacket, leg warmers, or hat you’re ready to go!

For winter I’ve been loving the all black look! It’s so classic, and simple and very easy to add your own personal touches to it. Black jeans or black tights are the way to go! You can add texture to the outfit by putting on a knit sweater, scarf, jacket, boots, or fun bag! The options are endless really.

Fall Fashion Trends

Happy Friday everyone! 🙂

Now I don’t know about you but before I go out shopping I always like to get some inspiration. As I’ve said many times I LOVE PINTEREST. So I picked out some of my favorite fall fashion trends to share with you here!

Camo is so in this year! Here’s one of my favorite ways people are wearing this trend:

Can we just take a moment to admire how perfect Candice Swanepoel is? And also her outfit? Circle skirts are making their way back from the 1950’s. This outfit is also really easy to convert into the fall/winter months. Just pop on a pair of tights, booties, and jacket and you’re good to go!

Alright, this one has to be my favorite… Her dark jeans & chambray shirt go amazing together. But my favorite part is her loafers, who knew loafers would come back in style?

One of the biggest trends I’ve seen this season are vests. They’re a cute addition to any outfit! Here are two different types of vest that I’ve been loving..

Have a great Friday 🙂

OOTD- Outfit Of The Day

Hi there 🙂
I’m going to try to start posting more OOTD’s because I know I love to see what other people are wearing.
My style is usually simple & casual. I’m trying to step out of my comfort zone though, so we will see how that goes!

Here’s what I’m wearing:

Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch
Shirt: I got in Switzerland from Tally Weijl
Sandals: Tommy Hilfiger
Bracelet: Not sure, it was my grandmothers!

Here’s a close up on my bracelet!IMG_2703

NYFW, also known as New York Fashion Week, my favorite week of the year. A whole week devoted to fashion, how could I not love it. Although I can’t be there in person, hopefully one day, I am viewing it from livestream on my cellphone. Mercedes-Benz fashion week features many of the worlds best designers. From what I’ve seen there has been a lot of recurring trends. Flowy pants, maxi skirts, long flowy dresses, squared out shirts, and crazy designs are only just the beginning. I’ve noticed that a lot of the designs are all in the same color palette. Their designs are mostly based off black and white. But interesting twists of crazy patterns and light or metallic pops of color seem to make their way into the design. As for hair, ponytails seem to be making their way back. Sockbuns were very popular this past year. But it seems the famous ponytail is making their debut once again. Not just regular ponytails, ponytails with a twist. I’ve seen a lot of low ponytails, resting along the backs on the neck. These ponytail also seemed to be teased a lot of the time, or incorporating a braid into it. Shoes, oh we can’t forget those. I’ve noticed a lot of strappy heels. Not the strappy heels that twist up your leg, but with the one strap crossing over your ankle. These heels have made their way from the runways, to street style, to office wear. Not only are they strappy but they are also two-toned. Mostly neutral with a pop of metallic, or black. The makeup in this show didn’t really catch much of my attention. I did however notice that they are focusing on eyes. Most of the time we see the attention brought to the lips, with a pop of color on the lips and light eye makeup. This year they did a suddle smokey eye with bold brows and nothing on the lips. Although it didn’t look like they did anything on the lips. If they did it was a very light color, or nude. Stay tuned for more of my updates & opinions on NYFW 2013!
